What:

ELFF Poster Distribution Event. We’re trying something new this year. To increase our outreach in the Greater Lansing and East Lansing area, the ELFF staff has decided to do a single day of volunteer-driven poster distribution. We have representatives from MSU Film Club, area high schools, Lansing Community College, the MSU English and Telecommunication departments and many more coming out to help us hang posters all over the town. Let’s paint the town pink with our amazing poster for the 12th Annual East Lansing Film Festival!

Each team of 2-3 volunteers will be given a stack of posters and a small map of an area in Lansing/East Lansing. Their task will be to go to that area and ask local businesspeople to hang up the ELFF poster.

When/Where:

Saturday, February 28, 2009, at 1 pm in room C201 of Snyder/Phillips Hall. Snyder/Phillips is a residence hall on the MSU Campus, right off of the intersection between Grand River Ave. and Bogue St. (see map below). There will be signs in the building with directions on how to get to the room.

Why Volunteer:

This is the easiest and most fun volunteer opportunity we have at ELFF. Every person who volunteers will be given TWO film festival ticket vouchers (redeemable at the Festival). In addition, at 4:30 pm on the day of Poster Distribution, all volunteer teams will return to Snyder/Phillips for a special treat. Not only will there be a pizza party for all volunteers, there will also be a private screening of two short films that are a part of our 12th Annual ELFF program! This is the most fun you’ll have volunteering for ELFF, plus you get free pizza and a free advance screening of two of ELFF’s short films.

These are the guidelines:
